TabTrade - The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
